




Customer A.
They are a large OEM, manufacturing coach windows. When we first spoke to them they were bringing in over 300 fastener items on a weekly basis into their main stores. They struggled then to distribute the correct item out to the correct location of their production facility.
With our help, they completely overhauled their stock flow. We increased the number of deliveries into them and delivered directly onto new ’Stock Stations’ across their site. Each stock station was overhauled so that it featured the correct item and importantly, the desired product levels. The customer immediately saw cash flow improvements and greater efficiencies by their staff. Downtime of staff searching for the right product or stopping work has been eliminated.
Customer B.
Some customers use a Kan Ban replenishment system for the same set of items, time and time again. Pugh & Sanders have been successful with many organizations in the Rail Industry where the fasteners used on a particular re-fit have been common.
In this instance we effectively launched a kit programme. 6 different Kits, dedicated to a certain area of the overhaul. This means the staff do not have to spend valuable time picking the materials for their task. The kits are ready and waiting for them to start work.
